ELG Carrs Stainless Steels have developed and industry wide reputation for supply of forged rings to fabricators working within the energy sectors.

The development of quicker, more efficient forging techniques have enabled batch quantities of rolled rings to be supplied on very short lead delivery times.

The operation briefly consists of the following:- billet is cut from our comprehensive raw material stock range and pre-heated in a furnace up to correct forging temperature. The material is then taken to the forger hammer or press, which with multi-directional hammering, it then flattens the billet into a round disc. A punching is then taken out of the centre of the disc and the material is then re-hammered to produce the required black dimension. The product has received a lot of forging work and consequently the consolidation of the product is now complete.

Forged rings can be supplied in the following grades with weight restrictions as listed below:
